Chapter 2 - Jealousy Taking Over
Tsukiyomi Ikuto

I am an idiot. A pure idiot. I always give in to jealousy. Then I hurt Amu. How can I help it? I love her. I love Amu, so much.

She is the one who still gave me reason for hoping I might break from Easter. Tadase, Tadase and all those other guys that hang around her, they're only pulling her, stealing her away from me.

With Amu gone I would have no reason to live. I am an idiot. I hate myself for hurting her.

"Damn it," I cursed. I leaped through the night, not seeing, hearing, knowing where I was going.

"Ikuto, da nya," a voice spoke in the darkness.

"Yoru. . . ." I sighed in recognition.

"You were at Amu's again weren't you, da nya?" he guessed.
I flushed. However it was hardly visible when the moonlight didn't reach my face. "Yeah," I answered.

"What happened, da nya? You seem agitated," he noted, his eyes worried.
"It doesn't concern you," I said simply.

"Ikuto! C'mon! I'm your guardian character, da nya!" he whined.
"Shut up," I commanded and he did.

Coincidently, I found myself leaping over Tadase's home. An idea came through my mind, and I slipped down to the window of his home.

He was at his desk doing homework, Kiseki at his side watching him.
"Ah, Little Kiddy King. Still busy at night, I see. . . ." I spoke breaking the silence.

He turned around. His light red eyes widened when he saw me.

"Tsukiyomi Ikuto!" he cried and the same small crown appeared on his head. "What do you want?"

"I hear, there's going to be a ball at Seiyo Elementary, huh? You've got the most votes for the Seiyo Emperor, am I not correct?"
Clearly not what he was expecting his eyebrows rose. "How. . . . how do you know about that?" he spluttered, lost at words not knowing what else to say.

"Alley cats hear things in the streets," I replied smirking.

"You were talking to Hinamori-san again weren't you!?" he accused.
I kept my expression innocent.

"Tadase glared at me. "What do you want, you stupid cat?"
"I want you to drop the whole Seiyo Emperor and Empress thing,"

I confessed straight to the point.
He got all defensive again. "No way!"

"Or else, I'll tell Amu, one of your many embarrassing secrets from childhood," I threatened.
Flushing, Tadase said nothing.
"Or you don't dance with her period," I suggested.

"Da nya," Yoru agreed snickering.
"You stupid cat vermin," Kiseki snarled.
Silence, still.
"How about I choose the second option. I like that best," I finally decided.

The atmosphere in the room started feeling gloomy.
"Did you become a mute?" I asked bluntly.
"No!" Tadase retorted.

I smirked. "Say something, then."
He still stayed quiet.
My eyes narrowed. "You have until midnight this Friday beginning now," I warned and leaped out of his room into the moonlight.
