All I search for perfection, there is
nope. All you need is just... your
heart... Your ATTITUDE determine
your ALTITUDE. Art is the best form
of creation.
He pinned my arms above my head, against the tree. Ikuto's face was only an inch away from mine. I could taste his breath on my tongue. It tasted like the sweetest chocolate imaginable.
That yearning for him to kiss me, took over my mind, my body. The part of me who loved Tadase was the only part that wasn't bewitched, and desperately fought against Ikuto's seductive gaze and touch.
"Ikuto!" I protested, however it came out as a keening moan. I saw a blue flame light up in his sapphire blue eyes at this sound.
He leaned in and his lips met mine with the softest pressure. He let go of my hands and wrapped them around my waist. My arms crept around his neck and my fingers clutched locks of dark navy blue hair. At first I was shocked, for it sent a shiver of sensation through me. The next I know, I'm welcoming his kiss. His tongue slid past the defense of my lips.
He explored my mouth, tasting it. Then our tongues met, mating in a slow intimate dance.
Gasping we let each other go. "You enjoyed that didn't you?" Ikuto rasped.
I was flushed and dazed. "Who wouldn't? That was amazing. . . . !" I gasped.
"Maybe you should reconsider the Empress thing," he suggested. "No!" I snapped.
He smirked.
"Would. . . . would you come to the dance though? Iinchou and Kukai are coming. Invite, Utau too if possible," I asked him.
"Why would I do that? I don't want to be in a place where Tadase is. And Utau would be furious if she found out I kissed you," he sounded upset.
"Please? For me?" I pleaded. Ikuto seemed uneasy. He flushed a little. "F-fine." I smiled halfway. "Thanks."
"By the way, I'd like to see how you'd forget that kiss," he smirked, before leaping in the air. I was left blushing, at the foot of a tree, in a distorted state.
"Ami-chan, who do want to take a bath with this time?" my mom asked my little sister, who was using her new 'dance move' singing 'Meikyuu Butterfly'.
"Hmm, I want Onee-chan!" she cried. "Me?" I asked her incredulously, wondering if I heard her wrong.
"Yup! Onee-chan will you take a bath with me?" she pleaded, pulling on my sleeve. I looked into those light brown, innocent eyes.
"Sure. Why not?"
"Yay! Onee-chan wants to take a bath with me!" she squealed dancing in circles around my parents.
"Ami. . . ."
"And it's only a bath. . . ." Ran trailed off. "Ami's acting like. . . ." Miki began. "That's the best thing. . . ." Suu continued. "In the world. . . ." Dia finished.
When Ami and I finished our bath, I wrapped myself in a towel and headed to my bedroom.
"Ah, that was a nice bath!" I exclaimed crashing on my bed. "Amu-chan, you seem a little red in the face, desu~" Suu noted.
"Well, I am feeling a little hot," I admitted. "Do you need cold water, desu~?" she asked. "That would be nice," I mumbled.
"Then let Suu, take care of it, desu~" she cried and winked. "But my parents-" "They won't catch her," Miki and Ran assured me.
I smiled. "Ok."
Everything was nice. Dia hatched. I would be graduating in the spring soon. I am a little afraid but it's good to try my best. I'll be getting closer and closer to my would-be self. That's all I wanted.
"Amu-chan, desu~?" Suu was floating in front of my face with a cold water bottle in her hands. I thanked her and opened the bottle.
Maybe, if I go on the balcony and drink this, I won't feel so hot in here, I thought. Opening my window, I stepped out onto the balcony. An eastern wind blew into my face. It felt nice.
I drank half of the water bottle in three gulps. "Ah! That's so refreshing!" "Amu-chan is thirsty," Dia giggled.
"Drink! Drink! Amu-chan! Go drink!" "Ran, when you say in that sense your words can be divided in two ways. The one I wouldn't approve of."
The others nodded in agreement. I stared at the moon. Somehow it always reminded me of Ikuto. The sky always reminded me of Tadase. It was kind of funny. Both opposites. But I loved them both.
"Hop! Step! Jump! Drew! Draw! Drawn! Chip! Syrup! Whip cream! My would-be self. Keeping cool and stylish is extraordinary, it's the way for me to live like they say. But, the truth is, that's not how I want to be. Just to be an ordinary girl, pushing aside all the pressure, I want to be truly honest. 'It's not my character,' is what they will say. My very own heart, Unlock! What I want to be, I will just be fine. Guardian characters are coming with you. What I want to do, I will do just fine. It's completely okay. You'll see. What I want to be, I will just be fine. Because just one, is too boring. What I want to do, I will just do fine. You can do everything you want, surely. Hop! Step! Jump! Drew! Draw! Drawn! Chip! Syrup! Whip cream! My would-be self.
"Wow!" Ran gasped in amazement. "You're getting and better at singing," Miki said in approval.
"True, desu~" Suu agreed.
"And we didn't even do a character change," Dia sighed glumly.
"That song was in my heart ever since Suu hatched from her egg," I winked pointing to my chest.
"Amu-chan," they all spoke together. "That's it!" Dia cried. Her orange gem eyes were sparkling with a realization of something.
"'That's it!' what?"
"The song!" "'The song!'?" I quoted, confused.
"When I became an egg, I sensed a song in your heart. One that existed before I became an egg. I think I was born from that feeling! That song you sang Amu, I was born from that feeling!" Dia cried, jumping up and down her long elegant orange pigtails bouncing.
"Ok! Ok! Calm down Dia!" After everything was quiet, I spoke. "Dia, are you sure?" "Yes~!" she squealed. Suddenly I remembered something.
"I think I was born from that feeling!" "You said 'I think'. . . ." "I did? I guess so," she admitted. "We'll never know then. It was just a theory."
"Yes, just a theory."
That night I couldn't stop thinking of Ikuto. The feeling of his lips on mine. The warmth of his hands and arms around my waist.
"Argh! Dammit!" I cried. Ikuto. . . . I wonder. Do you love me too? No, I didn't think so.
Teasing me. Always saying things and not taking things I say seriously. The famous smirk you wear. I'm just making life fun for you. I'm not important. I love you. I love you Ikuto!
That was my last thought before I let my eyelids droop and fall into unconsciousness.
