All I search for perfection, there is
nope. All you need is just... your
heart... Your ATTITUDE determine
your ALTITUDE. Art is the best form
of creation.
Ikuto smirked, as I blushed. "Hinamori Amu-san, will you take this dance?" he whispered, bowing down with a hand in front of him.
"None of that!" I snapped, still blushing. "Why? Can't even the vermin Tsukiyomi Ikuto be a gentleman sometimes? It wouldn't hurt to try," he said, smirking.
"Ikuto," I grumbled. "Amu, I promised something special for you remember?" he reminded me. My face went blank. "Oh, that's right!"
He smirked again. "C'mon!" He pulled my arm, dragging me to the circle of slow dancers.
"Whoa! Ikuto! Be careful! Not so fast!"
He was already laughing, when we reached the center of the center of the gym. Pulling me close, he wrapped his arms around my waist.
My hands were limb against his chest. I stared at them, blushing like no tomorrow.
Then he started dancing. For someone like Ikuto, he was a pretty good dancer. When I got used to his presence, I leaned my head against his chest. He sucked in a sharp breath.
I sighed in annoyance. Every guy does that, expect for Nagihiko when I do physical contact. But I ignored that. One of the men I loved, was holding me in his arms as if I was the most precious thing in the world. I wanted to enjoy the moment, so I closed my eyes, breathing in and out as if I was asleep. Ikuto started breathing even again.
"I could get used to this," I mumbled. "So could I," Ikuto muttered in my ear, causing a shiver of pleasure to travel my body. When the song ended, Ikuto offered to get me punch.
When he was gone, I sat on one of the chairs, placing a hand on my heart. Strange. Normally I would be hyperventilating and my heart would be thudding inside my chest, but it was calm. So calm and. . . . and normal. In a good way.
Ikuto came back with the punch. I drank it in three gulps. I have to say character changing with Suu made this punch taste exceptional.
After I finished it, Ikuto stared at me with a scrutinized expression. I instantly, became self-conscious.
"W-What?" I stuttered. "Your breathing's even and you're not blushing." "Y-yeah, so?"
"It's unusual. So natural. In a good way," he replied. I giggled. He was saying the exact same thing, I said.
Now he flushed. "What's so funny?" I shook my head. "Nothing." He knew he was missing an inside joke. Suddenly a strange look came into his eyes.
"Well, I got places to go, people to see you," Ikuto stood up and waved.
"H-hey! Where do you think you're going?" I demanded. "Ball's over. No need to be here anymore."
"It's only 10:30!" He shrugged and leaped out of a window.
"Hey, Ikuto! Come back!" I ran to the window. I looked down or up but couldn't see any trace of him. God, I wanted him to stay longer.
"Dia! Miki! Suu! Ran!" I called.
They popped up in front of me.
"What is it Amu-chan?"
"Help me find Ikuto. Let's split up. Ran you check north of the school, Miki east, Suu south and Dia west," I ordered them. "Where will you go looking Amu-chan?" Ran inquired.
"Argh! I can't find him anywhere," I groaned. "Neither can we," the guardian characters replied glumly.
"Makes me wanna take a trip to the rooftop-" I gasped. "Amu-chan?!" Miki asked me alarmed. "The rooftop!" I cried. Why hadn't
I realized sooner? I'm so stupid. I dashed up to the rooftop.
I finally found him on the Seiyo Academy roof. He bathed in the moonlight. His sapphire eyes seemed brighter than usual.
"I should've known, you'd be in high places. You are a cat boy after all," I sighed.
"Amu, you followed me here?"
"No, I looked for you everywhere.
I'm so dumb, because you always hang out in high places, and that was the last place I thought of looking," I pouted, eternally cursing myself.
His arms were around my neck in an instant. I flushed. "I-Ikuto?"
"Amu, you're not dumb. You're an idiot," he murmured.
I rolled my eyes. "Thanks so much," I responded acidly. He chuckled. "And with a dry sense of humor too. I like that about you."
"Like what about me?" I asked, my flush turning into a blush. "You always like to help people, but yet when you do you deny it.
You personality changes every second, and people can't keep up with you. But apparently I can.
It's funny. Nikaidou's always telling me, you have an uncanny ability to change and influence the hearts around you and you don't notice. You changed mine.
And I'm thankful for that, so I always get jealous."
"J-jealous? Maybe as a friend or brother for taking me away from you but still. . . ." I trailed off, one blush blending into the next.
I felt Ikuto shake his head against my shoulder. "No, Amu. You don't get it. I feel jealous because I, . . . I love you."
"Don't play innocent! You're always joking around, saying you love me and I'm sick and tired of it!" she wailed, her amber eyes watering.
"I'm not!" I protested.
"Liar! You don't take things I say seriously and you always make a joke out of things. You. . . . you. . . ." she trailed, burying her face in her hands for she had started crying.
"Amu. . . . !" I couldn't help myself, so I wrapped my arms tightly around her. I hope, despite my doubts that would comfort her.
"Ikuto. . . .-!"
"Amu, I will prove it, to you that I love you," I interrupted her putting a finger on her lip. "H-How?!" she demanded. "I need to give you that something special right? Here it is," I murmured and leaned down towards her.
My lips crushed hers, but at first she resisted. Then, she melted into my chest. She placed, limb hands on my chest. My tongue broke the defense of her lips and smoothly, slid inside her mouth. I pulled one of her hand, and placed it around my neck. She obeyed, putting her other hands there. I explored and tasted her mouth.
Amu's hands slid into my hair, grasping locks of it. Then our tongues made contact, mating slowly. She moaned into my mouth.
I broke the kiss, when we both needed air. Amu panted in my arms, flushed. "That's it?" "What do you mean 'that's it'?" I demanded angrily. "I thought there'd be less," she admitted looking down.
I cracked a smile. "Idiot. I love you, Amu. More than anything. You might not, love me back. Don't you believe me?" She shook her head. "Truth is Ikuto, I love you, too."
It took me a while to understand and the words she uttered slowly clicked in. "You. . . . you love me?" I asked incredulously.
She nodded. "Ikuto, I've loved you with all my heart ever since I met you. I only thought you were joking when you said you loved me, so I didn't believe you. I didn't tell you because I'd thought you'd laugh at my confession and think of it as a joke," she explained, her amber eyes twinkling.
"Amu you are truly an idiot," I smirked, muffling laughs.
She rolled her eyes. "Ikuto, for the last time-" Then I silenced her with a kiss. I knew that a great and good future would be ahead of us.

Tsukiyomi Ikuto
Amu smacked my chest. "Stop that!" she hissed.
"Stop what?" I asked completely clueless.
"Don't play innocent! You're always joking around, saying you love me and I'm sick and tired of it!" she wailed, her amber eyes watering.

End. . . . or the beginning?
(Side story. SakuraSenin POV.
"Hey, Sakura! Is it the beginning or is it not?" Amu demanded angrily.
"Amu, calm down!" I yelled back.
"Not until you answer my question!" she wailed.
"Same here," I scoffed.
"Ikuto!" she whined.
I exhaled in surprise. "Now he's your bodyguard!? You listen to every single thing she says?!"
Amu pouted. "Kill her for me."
Ikuto nodded, his sapphire deadly.
"My own Heart, Unlock! Character transformation: Black Lynx!"
I backed away. "Whoa, whoa. Now let's not be hasty. I'm sure we can figure something out!"
He took a swipe at me.
"Whoa! Ikuto! STOP IT! I WON'T BE ABLE TO WRITE THE SEQUEL IF YOU KILL ME!")
